Vitamins are not just complex organic compounds that possess a huge array of biochemical functions. Just as they are an important part of our diet, they should also be an indispensable part of any hair care regime. Vitamins that promote hair growth can undoubtedly work wonders for people suffering from gradual hair loss, hair thinning, split ends, extremely dry hair etc.
For people suffering from low self-esteem due to vanishing hair and receding hair line, should definitely try out hair growth vitamins. I found this information quite interesting as I started getting hair loss about 4 months ago, and I’m only 38.I’m interested in trying some of the advice above, and I have a few questions.
1. If I use the garlic to rub on the area, should I use the crushed garlic with anything like oil, water, and also how long do I leave it on my head for, like 1 hour or 1 day before I can have a wash? I am worried about the smell, but if it helps, then it will be worth it.
2. Does anyone know if exposure to sun makes things worse? I live in a hot climate and maybe I need to protect my head, but I also worry if I use a cap, it will rub more of my hair off.
I appreciate these may be silly questions, but to me, it’s really quite an issue loosing my hair.
So if anyone’s got some more advice I would be most grateful.
Cheers, Pete
Wearing a cap will almost certainly make matters worse.
I always say no hair is better than bad hair – so consider shaving it all off if your head is a nice shape!
I have the same problem with hair loss, but I don’t like the idea of rubbing garlic on my head, so I started using the already prepared remedies (I think you can click on the picture in this post) and all I have to do is put some drops of the mixture in some juice or milk 3 times a day. Now I have to wait! It’s only been a week since I started taking the ready made remedy, but I’m feeling positive.
Any recent updates on this topic? I’m still looking for a solution…
Is this for real? You can actually regrow hair? I thought I’d have to accept that I was going bald and I was totally preparing to shave my head instead of looking like an old man. I don’t want implants nor do I want to wear some ridiculous wigs, but if I can regrow my own hair with natural remedies, then I’ll do whatever ridiculous things I need to do to go back to having a full set of hair. If I could have my hair back by following the guides here I’ll donate a thousand bucks to charity. That’s a promise.
The guy in the picture makes me sad because he looks exactly like me right now. My wife took a picture of me and my son wrestling on the floor the other day and the shot was angled from the top pointing to my head. Wow.. my head looked like a burnt down forest. I had little hair left on top and it looked as though I had little time left until anyone could notice my baldness even from the front. To be honest I have very little hope to regrow my hair, but I’ll try the suggestions here as a last resort. Wish me luck fellow baldies.
Hair loss is a common problem in both men (80%) and women (50%) all over the world [1]. Hair loss is called alopecia and it can be permanent or non-permanent/temporary loss of hair. The most common hair loss is non-permanent where re-growth of hair can be achieved with adequate treatment. Proper and adequate nutrition plays a very important role in skin health and beauty. Causes of hair loss include sudden or severe emotional stress, improper nutrition, severe infections, major surgeries, drugs (e.g. retinoids, beta-blockers, and birth control pills), anemia, and certain diseases. Although hair loss is common, but unfortunately, no single 100% effective treatment is yet to be discovered. Regarding hair loss or alopecia, both medical and over-the-counter natural products are recommended.
Among natural remedies for hair loss include supplementation with iron, biotin and zinc along with stress management. Many manufacturer companies or online firms claim their products to be very effective for hair loss. Beware of such products until your doctor recommends these products for you. No authentic evidence I could find about the use of apple cider vinegar and arnica as a therapy for hair loss. However, studies reveal the affectivity of garlic gel in alopecia [2]. Similarly, topical crude onion juice significantly enhances the re-growth of hair [3]. Natural henna does nothing with hair growth but recovering lost hair color.

Where can I find a doctor in the Tempe Arizona area who could help my alopecia with treatment of garlic gel and betamethasone valerate cream or other treatments?
Thanks you so much.
Mary
Can totally attest to the effectiveness of apple cider vinegar and coconut oil. Apple cider vinegar, aside from promoting hair growth, leaves your hair with a nice, healthy sheen. The only thing that turned me off when I first started using it was the smell, but eventually got used to it, and you really have to rinse it carefully. Coconut oil, which I used when I was taking meds that made my hair fall off, adds volume to the hair. It’s oil but it won’t make your hair go limp from oiliness.
Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote
the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit,
but instead of that, this is fantastic blog. An excellent read.
I’ll certainly be back.
I’m 33 with many factors going against me: hypothyroidism, PCOS, heredity…. My thyroid & PCOS are under control with meds, which I hope means I still have a chance of regrowing some of my hair. There are so many options to try, however. Can anyone make a suggestion as to where I should start? Biotin hasn’t done much for me. I tried a laser comb that I returned because I didn’t see results. I use anti-breakage shampoo, but…. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
Some great information here about dealing with hair loss. I think you need to do a combination of the above to succeed in stopping or slowing down hair loss.
Awesome post, I really needed this. A lost a lot of my hair in the past few months. Well, it’s not too visible for other people, but I definitely see the difference.
Informative article, I must say. Roughly 60 % of the middle agers face the problem of balding and premature greying. Sadly, the home remedies only work well for around 5% of the total ones. One of my relatives had thyroid gland problems and she suffered sudden hair loss. It was depressing to see her like that. She tried almost all the home remedies. Though her hair fall came in control, the lost hair could not be restored. She then went for a hair transplant from the Seager Medical Group in Toronto. This way , she restored her lost hair with hair transplantation. But yes, the gels, oils, and capsules will go a long way and so does preparing a proper diet plan.
