Yeast Infection
Yeast infections are common in women. This condition is bothersome to say the least. It may cause vaginal discharge, mild to severe itching, vaginal burning, soreness, and pain during sex. This type of infection is caused by an over growth of the fungus Candida.
Anti fungal creams and oral medications are often used to treat this. As well, there is an abundance of home remedies which can balance the amount of yeast in the body.
Bacterial
Bacterial vaginitis (BV) occurs when the vaginas normal bacteria over produces. BV symptoms can be most uncomfortable. Affected individuals may experience itching, mild vagina bleeding, irritation, painful sexual intercourse, and a burning sensation when urinating. This condition is generally treated with the use of antibiotics. Patients may also opt to use a variety of home remedies for BV treatment. However, diagnosis should be confirmed by a doctor before self treating. Some sexually transmitted diseases can reflect the same symptoms as BV. It is imperative to treat each infection in the proper manner.
Most women are forced to cope with a yeast or bacterial infection at some point in their life. It is nothing to be alarmed about. Both of these conditions are easily treated. In fact, the body sometimes resolves them on its own. Other times medications or natural treatments may be necessary.
