Hernia is a type of disease where a portion of tissue of the body organ penetrates a weak muscle area. This disease is usually called rupture organ disease. It can happen anywhere in your body. Mostly, this disease occurs in the abdomen area. If this condition is left untreated, there will be more tissue or organs pushed into the weak muscle area.

The hernia usually occurs on the abdominal wall which is made up from different layers. There are some areas which are weaker than the other. Most of the time, this “Rupture organ” occurs at those weaker areas. However, there are several different types of hernia which can occur on different places on the abdominal, for example:
a. Inguinal
This type of hernia usually occurs in the groin. It is very common among people with hearnia. In this case, a loop of intestine is able to push against the small hole in the groin muscle. This disease affects more men than women.
b. Femoral
It usually occurs on the thigh. In this type of disease, the intestine pushes against the small hole on the weak muscle ring of the femoral canal. Femoral affects more women than men.
c. Umbilical
In this disease, some portions of the gut push through the weak muscle on the navel or belly button. It usually happens in infants and overweight women.
d. Incisional
It usually happens after the abdominal surgery. It this disease, the intestines usually push the weak area which is affected during the surgery. As the result, the incisional hernia happens.
Most of the time, people with hernias need to go through the surgical procedures. The procedures may be different for different type of hernias. The most common one is by opening the abdomen and repairing the weak muscle. As the result, the intestines or any other organs are not able to break through the weak muscle after the surgery.
