Aromatherapy - A Natural Therapy

Back then, not everyone knew how it really worked, some people thought that it was just a placebo effect because the smell makes a person feel good. Today, there are further studies that have proved that aromatherapy has some effects on the human body. There are very many different scents of plants that are being used for aromatherapy and each of these different plants have different uses depending on what the person needs.

One of the most common plants being used for aromatherapy is the peppermint. Peppermint gives a cooling feeling when put on the body. It is perfect for scratches because it relieves the itchiness. Another plant being used is aloe vera. Aloe vera is perfect for sun burns. A lot of people cut the aloe vera in half
and apply the juice on their skin to relieve the pain of being burned in the sun. This is one of the main reasons why many sun blocks that we have today use aloe vera extract. Lavender and tea tree oil are also very common in aromatherapy. These plants are used in


lotions and soap because it helps heal wounds and is even considered as an antiseptic. There are also many different types of plant oils that are being used for massages. The aroma helps a person relax while being massaged which makes these oils perfect for massages.

There are many different plants being used for aromatherapy today. Not everyone knows the perfect use of every plant but there are still some secrets that are yet to be uncovered. As more studies come, there will be more new uses that will be discovered for these plants to be used as remedies.
