In many countries in the world, sexually transmitted diseases are becoming a big problem. Though there has been increased campaigns against them, they seem not be be working well. In fact, more and more people are engaging in sexual behaviors that are increasing the rate at which these diseases are transmitted.

Sexual health is important and people should aim at ensuring that they avoid engaging in sexual contact that can lead to sexually transmitted diseases. These diseases are spread through vaginal intercourse, oral sex and anal sex. When a person engages in human sexual behavior with an infected person, they are likely to get infected with these diseases. Some of the most common are AIDS, syphilis, gonorrhea, genital herpes, etc.
A venereal disease is caused by microorganisms that survive on the skin or on mucus membrane or that are transmitted through vaginal secretions or semen or blood when having intercourse. Sexual partners should always ensure that they are aware of their sexual health and constant checkups are encouraged so that in case there is any problem, it can be addressed on time.

There are many ways through which people can use to prevent getting infected with sexually transmitted diseases. However, the success of each method varies from one person to another. For people who have high stamina for sex and that engage in a lot of sexual encounters, they are encouraged to use sexual protection at all times. Using condoms as a way of preventing this diseases is good though it is not 100% safe. They are said to have very small pores through which fluids can be transmitted causing diseases.

The best way to curb sexually transmitted diseases is by abstaining from sexual encounters with multiple partners. Whether you are a married man or woman, remaining faithful to your partner is the best way that you can use to avoid getting infected with these diseases.
