Natural Hair Care - Some Basic Tips
Long or short, the hair is indeed any woman’s crowning glory. Even men would surely like to have healthy hair every day. Taking care of your hair does not have to be very expensive nor complicated, all you need is just the right knowledge and information to get the best hair care that you deserve.
- Use the appropriate shampoo and conditioner for your type of hair. If you have natural straight hair, make sure you use shampoo and conditioner made especially for it. You should also note of some ingredients that may be harmful to your hair, such as sulfates and silicone.
- Go easy with the chemicals. One of the most frequent reasons why hair becomes dry, brittle and damaged is because of too much chemicals that you get whenever you go to the salon. As much as possible, limit the number of treatments that your hair gets to minimize damage.
- Stay away from too much heat. Whether it’s the heat coming from the sun or from blow dryers and hair irons, your hair will only get more damaged upon too much exposure. Protect your hair by using umbrella or head gears such as caps and hats whenever you’re outside. As much as possible, limit the use of hair dryers and irons, too.
- Look around your kitchen. This is a great tip especially if you are on a budget. Hair care does not have to be expensive, since there are more than enough natural ingredients that can be found and used whenever you wish. Mayonnaise, for instance, is a great natural hair conditioner. Olive oil is also known to moisturize, tame and strengthen hair.
- Eat a balanced diet and drink plenty of water. Your diet also plays a vital role in keeping your hair naturally healthy. Eat foods that contain essential fatty acids, protein, Vitamins B-6 and B-12, folic acid and omega 3 to keep your hair shiny, lustrous and strong.
